Lawyers of Color Inc. (LOCInc) is the parent company of On Being A Black Lawyer, On Being A Hispanic Lawyer, and On Being A Lawyer of Color. Established in 2008 to report news of import to black legal professionals, LOCInc is now media and research company focusing on lawyers of color. In addition to our eponymous blogs, LOCInc also produces e-newsletters, events, and social media platforms to engage legal professionals. The company aims to promote the causes and contributions of minority attorneys. With a national reach, LOCInc has received recognition from the American Bar Association, Thomas Reuters, and The The National Black Law Student Association, among others. Our readers include law school students and Big Law partners; advocates and academics; public defenders and prospective law students.

Yolanda Young is the founder of Lawyers of Color Inc. (LOCInc). The attorney is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and Howard University. A frequent contributor to USA Today, she has also written for The Washington Post and Essence Magazine.
